Yes, I vaguely remember the times when the activists would fill my editor's ear with gossip and/or scottlebutt about what was going on at City Hall, so then I would be assigned to go to City Hall to regurgitate these editorial directives, and then finding nothing of the sort, and somewhat to the contrary, I must with all due respect write the story that I found, or that could be found, rather than the story that could not be found.
