Yes, you always make me feel so guilty about rarely contributing blood when the bloodmobile vans come around, but, anyway, when I consider and reflect upon the fact that my blood type is the least desirable and least transferable type of blood of all the types, and that people with my blood type can get their transfusions from any of the more transferable blood types anyway, I do not see so much reason to worry and trouble myself about a matter that does not seem so urgent as all of that.

Yes, I am somewhat amazed at the fuss surrounding the dreary Santiago machine. I actually was not keeping track of whatever they do, and it would be too much trouble for me to try to offer some bizarrely solicited commentary that might actually accord too much importance to these minor acquaintances from the past of whom I remember almost nothing.

Yes, I do remember that for most of my young life our family subscribed to the "National Geographic" magazine, which, one may safely assume, would mean that there are trained social scientists and cultural anthropologists whose job it is to go into the jungles and personally interview these primitive creatures in the properly scientific way so that we can eventually read their collected data in the pages of the "National Geographic." It is not our job to do the field work of the geographical people. They have experts and photographers highly trained for that purpose to document these primitive creatures now only starting to emerge from the naked jungles. That would be their job, not mine.

Yes, we, having many years ago perused ancient copies of "National Geographic" magazine, are not unaware of the anatomical differences of the two sexes, having seen the depictions of native tribal peoples cavorting almost naked in the various jungles of the world. Whether or not they wear straw hats would be  beside the point, needless to say. Thus I feel no urgent need to argue with some primitive Portuguese tribesman about the significance of his straw hat. Needless to say.
