Yes, I do think that I would not be interested in playing the role of gold-digger villainess in some Mexican soap opera. The Venezuelan soap operas were slightly more entertaining, but most all of them with the same basic Cinderella story of switched-at-birth heroine rises from the ashes of poverty to the heights of fame and fortune. Predictable. Ho-hum. Enough about that. Besides which, these things only happen to Mexicans, especially the hired help. There really is no role for white people to play in these internal fantasy dramas of theirs, and I would rather not change that.
