Which Reminds Me

How well I remember in 10th grade high school English class, how fascinated you were when Miss Marken, in her little current affairs chat, was talking about the recent Patty Hearst kidnapping and also Patty's sudden appearance in a snappy French beret toting a machine gun, robbing a bank with the Symbionese Liberation Army. You are so stupid you probably think that all white girls are clones of Patty Hearst, all immensely rich, all so confused about the ambiguous captors who are dictating the warped narrative.

Which Reminds Me

Oh, was I supposed to thank the bullies of Ohio for smashing my face to gloat and sneer at me? Yes, I don't see how Christian forgiveness requires me to leave my brain at home and report for duty without any thoughts to call my own.

Which Reminds Me

I heard that Terry's former girlfriend was spreading all sorts of lies about me. Unfortunately I cannot remember who she was so I have no way of fixing that. To whom can I explain that Terry is a mere acquaintance to me. I actually am not his sister, never mind about all that blither. I am not related to them in any way so there is nothing further that I would need to discuss with them. College has been over for a long time now.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember that one day during college, Terry Cederblom said that I was his "red heifer," which comment I found rather annoying but then again often launches into strangely idiotic  nonsensical and meaningless rantings. Something similar can be said about Tim. If hindsight were foresight I would have taken better notes but at the time I wasn't paying that much attention. I was not aware of any reason to revisit that episode of ancient history.

Which Reminds Me

It was Jill Anderson who told us a story about Sharon cleaning toilets. I don't recall whether I ever repeated that to anyone else. Why don't you ask Jill what she said about that? I am really not an authority on the subject.

Which Reminds Me

I am not aware of anyone in our college who has any great memories of that vicious horrible Ronald Aguilera who married that vicious horrible Sharon. I would prefer not to hear the tawdry details of their filthy dirty story. They were not friends of mine nor was I even on acquaintance speaking terms with them that I should be called on to comment. I am aware that some of his Spanish relatives were trying to rewrite the history of that to involve me but it won't work. There is nothing that we can say about that to make it better for them.

Which Reminds Me

One can easily assume that O. Cope Budge was a very famous professor at our college as the library is named after him. Even so, I doubt that you can hold Budge responsible for all of the contents of a college library. The library is a cataloging system devised for the numbering of books according to various categories, offering almost no  value judgement as to which book is better than another. If the book is on the shelf, probably there is some use for it. Thus, a library in itself alone is a mindless collection of printed matter. The people who read the books and use them for research and paper writing are the persons who give life to the library.

Thus, whatever.

Budge was also said to have served as a missionary in India, although I really don't know anything about that. I cannot imagine why anyone would object to Budge. I once took a class from Budge at my college and thought that he was an excellent teacher, but what would they know about college? or India? Perhaps you should refer them to that literacy program that teaches people how to read, the advantages and utility of knowing how to read, etc.
