Yes, I vaguely remember that during the one year I worked at Hermano Pablo's, our co-worker Mark was often in a rage about various things going on there. He thought the headlines and writing in the fundraising newsletters were overly sensationalized. I did not want to say whether or not I would agree with him. Did I not also hear that the newsletters are written by a professional fundraising specialist who is trained specifically to produce this type of fundraising materials? So who am I to say what they should put in their newsletters? But Mark prefers to vent his rage upon the newsletter, at least for now. And these people are always so celver about flipping the script later, as experience has shown, so perhaps I should not add my two cents to that one-sided conversation.
And then later I heard that they fired Mark, after learning that he had all the phones rigged to his phone, so that he could eavesdrop on every phone conversation in the building. Come to think of it, I remember that he always seemed to know everything that was happening there.
