Yes, I vaguely remember that Grandma Calkins seemed to be having a rather intense conversation with that lady, was she a Samoan, who lived down the street from them in Oceanside. However, I cannot remember anything specific about that. Grandma Calkins was sometimes a very intense person in her own way.
