Yes, and of course it was all the more terrifying and unfortunate that she was standing there, as if the party was all about her and I had no business being there, which I didn't, but anyway, she is likely to say any weird thing to make me feel that much more uncomfortable and embarrassed about being there. So that was all the more awkward.
