Yes, I vaguely remember learning that our Barth ancestor was from Saxony, a southern region of Germany, or else Baden, depending on which document you happen to be looking at. So obviously we are not Bohemians. And then there is another ancestor who traces back to Prussia. So, yes, we are not Bohemians. However, the said Barth ancestor immigrated to America in 1849, at age 53, bringing his family of five children born in Germany. Thus we skipped all of that other German history that came later. We just don't know much about that.
