Yes, and we would ask, "Willard who?" We do not know of any Willard in our Calkins ancestry directly but that does not mean that he might not be one of the many descendants of Hugh Calkins, who arrived in America in 1640. Or else he could be one of those adoptees or else some unidentified strain that we know nothing of. Either way, we did not know Willard personally.
