Perhaps she was being too modest, else how was she elected to public office having no supporters, a support being defined as someone who voted for her and/or likes her agenda. Or, more likely, that is her way of disassociating herself from politicians who are on the corporate dole, receiving large donations from real estate developers and other special interests that she perceives as her political enemies, preferring to portray herself as not one of them, a point that she likes to emphasize, given that her political reason for being is that she is not one of them, so probably that is what she meant to say, one would easily imagine, a supporter being defined as a person who donates money to a political campaign.
