Yes, in a way it was sad that Mr. Lampp died so young. He had not been there very long before he was gone, but on the other hand perhaps God knew that it was for the best that the power should be taken away (although I am only guessing this based on all these hints) from his crazy wife Franny and the various stupid Southern white trash connections she brought along. Nobody really likes them and the way they strut around pretending to be the makers of the deal when actually they generated a huge distraction, as if it was just all about them.
