Yes, I vaguely remember one time when we crossed the border going into El Salvador from Guatemala, near the border crossing a soldier stopped our car and asked for a ride. So that was sort of interesting. We gave him a ride for probably not more than half an hour and then dropped him off some place where he needed to go. I don't remember him being talkative but he was a peaceful person, not shooting us with his gun or anything like that. So that was no big deal. Sometimes persons are called on to do these deeds of courtesy and, Ok, so, fine, that wasn't really too far out of our way. It wasn't like we had to take him home with us and feed him or anything like that.
