Which Reminds Me

Yes, the truth is that I do not bet, or at least I never participated in the office sports betting pool, so I have no comment on that. I just simply do not do that.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, how well I remember while studying journalism in Virginia, that one of our professors, Dr. Kelly, had invited some students to his house for a meeting. This may have happened twice, near the beginning and once near the end of the program. Ok, so that was nice. Dr. Kelly's wife is a Filipino woman named Susie, do not remember any other thing about her, and they have maybe two children, I do not remember much about them, beautiful house, nice afternoon. Years later I heard her taking online but I could not understand why because I barely met her and remember almost nothing about them. We were barely acquainted.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, truly, the role of Miss America may have its perks and its crown and its photo opps, but Miss America will not be invited to speak for me. Such a pampered thing could not begin to understand something. Yes, I suppose that is how your script would read, although the thought of fighting against that Viet Cong witch is actually the farthest thing from my mind. The simple-minded go forward to battle and are slaughtered. I have other plans for myself than to fight your pathetic old Tagalong battles.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there was not much information available about the Wilsons at college. I had heard that Kathy Wilson married her drummer, and then later, one day outside of church, I was standing near Jill and Linda, and there appeared Kathy and her drummer husband, and possibly because she was so comfortable with Jill and Linda, she was saying all of these things about her personal life, having just had a child, and a month having gone by since childbirth, the doctor has said that she can now do some things, and glancing at her husband, we get the idea that they know what that means, so there would not be anything that we would need to say or add to that, obviously, needless to say, but perhaps Jill and Linda would consider themselves more qualified to explain something else about that, being the consummate gossips that they always were.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, the problem with hired help is that these opportunists have no qualms about spending my non-existent money and taking their time in delivering any worth having. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I so much enjoyed that song that in past times was very popular to sing at church, which said, "The Lion of Judah shall break every chain, and give to us the victory again and again." I hardly ever hear that anymore, but of course that is lion spelled L-I-O-N. If you thought that sounded like "lying" then you would be missing the point of that, which perhaps explains why that song is not sung very much anymore, because some people might be getting confused about what that meant and if so they might not deserve to have the victory merely for being successful liars.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, someone was making some points about heroine addiction, which has something to do with drama queens, not really drugs. Drama queens are constantly trying to stage their own grandiose entrance and heroic ending always starring themselves as the white hats and good side, no matter at whose expense, which means that they are really not helpful and do not care about other people's difficulties. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it is somewhat annoying to notice the mangled notes of co-worker Michael Sasser for a few months, who did happen to mention that he was also a private detective on the side, but why would they assign a private detective to be my co-worker, as if I would even know something else about that? You could always ask Michael who else was paying for his way, because I really have no idea.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember that when returning from our mountain hike, Rhina was having a temper tantrum for some reason, I don't remember why, and at a fork in the road she took the other path, which was said to eventually connect to a street that to the AG Bible Institute, although Rhina is actually Baptist so what would she know about the AG, and so anyway because of that my mother had to later drive all the way around to the Bible Institute and there she was waiting for someone to come and get her. And whatever became of that little brat later? I really would not know. I do not consider myself under any legal obligation to go and "get" them. Anyway, nobody would take seriously the idiotic rantings of the Sanchez street urchins. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, that was an interesting exercise in comma usage staged by the Spanish teacher, during a meeting with the parents of the little school in San Salvador, (I was in attendance although I had previously graduated from high school, but my sister was still there), in which on the blackboard was written the text in Spanish language the last will and testament of a certain man, lacking, however, any commas. First one student got up and inserted commas in certain places. The next student inserted commas in other places and perhaps erased previous commas, and the next student did the same and so on. Each change of commas changed who gets what from the will. Even so, there being nothing for us to get, it really did not matter to us, it was merely an academic exercise highlighting the importance of comma usage and what a difference an aptly placed comma, albeit a small thing, can make. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, that was alarmingly weird, that day when Terry was saying something about me being his cow, or did he say red heifer, I really don't remember exactly what that was intended to mean. I will not be available later for that food processor usage, needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember that while I was living in Virginia, my rooomate at the time had a boyfriend, and one night at 11 p.m. I open my bedroom door and there is this black guy in the hallway, her boyfrind, and I suppose it was funny the way I was startled, but the weirder part was the way that later was trying to use that for something. I do not even remember what his name was.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, and that reminds me of the time when I was 6 or 7 years old, at the San Bernardino church, there was a guy with braces on his teeth, who by way of explaining that, told me that those were railroad tracks and that at night when he is sleeping a little train goes around and around in his head. Upon reflection I realize that he was lying, but I forgive him because, I don't know why, maybe it was the spirit of the thing and not what he was actually saying.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, Ok, so maybe I lied. The real truth is that I am deeply annoyed with those guys and do not want to hear another word from them, but this is not something to discuss with you idiots.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, we enjoyed listening to your interesting book report in Miss Marken's honors English class and then i it is easily understood: "Next!" It is time for you to step aside so that the next person in line can have their allotted time for book report purposes, thank you very much.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it seems impossible for there to be any meaningful dialogue on the facts of the matter, when that cannot actually happen until after you have supplied the world with all of the missing equations of quantum mechanics, as we were saying. Therefore, it would seem useless to listen to prolong this discussion unnecessarily. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, sometimes I feel like that frog in the boiling pot, it is just too late for me now, I am cooked and done with so why prolong the agony. But even so, why should I have to endure the insults of these nasty sourpuss armchair critics who seriously lack any sense of humor, easy for you to sit there throwing things around after the fact, always woulda coulda shoulda. I have heard enough already about your rotten attitudes.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember that when we were living in El Salvador, there were some Americans visiting who thought it funny to joke about Spanish by putting an "O" at the end of an English word, as if that would do the trick of making it sound like Spanish. At the airport as they were leaving at the end of their visit, one of the guys was jokingly celebrating and said that he was going "Home-O." Uh, thud. So my sister who was there at the time and thought that was hysterically funny and was later retelling that story to others including myself who were not there at the time. Apparently this retelling bothered some persons.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there was somthing weird the way those two little girls were talking about bathing with their nude father, but what that proves I was not so certain. Probably other people heard the same thing that I heard, one can easily imagine.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, we noticed that you were trying to channel something about Aubrey Lampp even though he has been dead for about forty-five years now. We are not to be contacting the dead, so sadly we have to wonder what those little brats were thinking in trying to blame us for his death. That was a miserable day to be sure but ultimately it was God who took his life, We are reluctant to comment or speculate further on these points given that it wasn't my fault anyway and why should I vomit only because I seem to have a penchant for being within earshot. So point taken but I should not have to verbalize every point I get, uh, maybe or maybe not. That would be so awkward. So you'll just have to do your own dirty work.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there is nothing cool about the noxious Void or Tease family, but why some people are not being prosecuted for the practic of witchcraft is beyond my comprehension.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it is just as well that hoods have gone out of fashion. I am old enough to remember a time when they were putting hoods on everything, when you went shopping there was too much of that on the racks but who are we to argue with these geniuses of fashion.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I have noticed your discomfort with the microphone that may or may not be attached to the inside of my skull. Even so, it does not logically follow that you should be scrambling to fill in the blanks with useless trivia when, anyway, uncertainty is built into the universe. So until you have first resolved the missing equations of quantum mechanics, you really are not qualified to say anything more about that.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, thanks the offer to buy but no, I never wrote any screenplay. Susie was telling me about the screenplay written by Chainy but what became of that later I have no idea. Now that I have heard that, I am reluctant to try my hand at that, not caring to bring among myself another charge of copycatting. Better to just leave the screenplay writing to Chainy.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there may be some books that I regret having read, such as, for example, "The Satan Seller," in which it is explained that devil worshipers allow their fingers to be cut off as a sacrifice to the devil. I don't know about you, but I would prefer to keep my fingers attached to myself, thanks anyway. Someone was saying where are all of these missing fingers, but apparently we do not run in the same circles as those people so how would I know what was true or not in that crazy book? Coincidentally, I recently was watching a video in which I suddenly noticed that the speaker has two fingers missing so I turned that off. Weird. Some people are addicted to the idea of writing a sensational book without having anything worth saying. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, now I can see that you were expecting me to sing that familiar little ditty, that sort of goes, "How much is that little Cuban doggie in the window, the one with the wiggly and/or wagging tail?" in memory of that guy from Hialeah but that would be a useless lie. I don't have any need a weird Cuban who lives in his own separately mysterious Planet Cuba. Not to burst his bubble, but I really wasn't that interested. Sometimes it is just not worth the effort of trying to be friendly and then you end up tripping on all these weird triggers. Just forget about it. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I remember that Susie was saying something on the phone about her hard drive, but she did not offer many details on that point, and if she does not want to offer more details willingly, well, I should be able to respect her privacy and not needle her with questions about what she meant by that when I really was not understanding what she meant by that. In fact, maybe I should not be talking to people on the phone at all because it gets very tiresome having to unflip all of these flip-flopped points. Who says I have to agree with you a hundred percent on all points? Reality is more complicated than that. Needless to say.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, interesting to watch these people display their illiterateness so publicly on TV, but nothing you say matters now. Nothing that you say will pump out any further information from me in terms of a collaborator because I had none. It was only me practicing my Spanish language skills in a small way, but of course what would a South African boor know about Spanish language, and I see that you brought some Tagalongs to add to the confusion. None of that matters, however. If you were going to tell us which language you are speaking, that would be something to hear. But without that, you are just nowhere. Bye!

Which Reminds Me

Yes, that was amazing to hear about the amazing exploits of Cassie's son who worked for CNN, compiling their entire million page website almost single-handedly. Amazing. I am stunned, do not know what to say in answer to that, my mind goes blank, the thought of CNN being ever so remote from my thoughts, and so whatever. They moved up north and we have not heard much about them for many years now.

And I see that you are wondering why we did not hire Brett, that other amazing computer guy, to do our website. He was much too expensive, $10,000, although how did you know that we asked, and also there is the idea that would give him perhaps too much control over our lives. Fortunately nowadays there are much less expensive ways to do websites.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it was somewhat odd to find myself assigned to this imaginary job of party poster child. If there were a salary attached at least that could make it sort of worth taking an interest in your re-Publican lowlife interests, given that you cannot be Fair-I-See, only Sad-U-See. However, money makes the world go round, as the song goes, and just being a squeaky wheel does not quite pay the bills or provide sufficient grease to get your Skidrow mobster agenda off the ground.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, you probably remember in little school, how the teacher sternly warned us not to be as the children in the wilderness, who never reached the Promised Land, but died there in the wilderness, because of their much whining and grumbling and complaining. We would really prefer not to be associated with you whiners and grumblers and complainers. We are busy keeping our eyes fixed on the goal of crossing the finish line and/or prize of the high calling of God, whatever that might mean, even if not yet so clear.

Wednesday, February 10, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember 10th grade biology class, when Dr. Schaffer gave each of us a seed and a little thing in which to plant it and we were to keep a daily record of its progress, which I sort of did, probably not as meticulously as I could have, but anyway, afterwards the plant was placed in the garden where it grew quite a bit larger, a somewhat unsightly weed out of place next to the lovely rose bushes, thus earning the contempt of the gardener, who later asked for and was granted permission to cut out the weed using his machete.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, only because you were begging for something from me did I bother to condescend to send you some cat pictures. Even so, how can I be sure that you are not the cat you claim not to be online, when anyone can be saying anything online and we cannot be the wiser not knowing one way or another who is talking or why they are saying these irrelevant things that, anyway, no one is able to verify one way or another, there be no way to prove something.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there was something oddly annoying about this little Gonzo trickster so braggadociously boasting of being the elected columnist, having been elected to represent a classroom full of ninth graders, which may or may not have included Anne, I would only be guessing as to that point, not that Gonzo did not have some talent and ability along those lines. But anyway, I am far beyond reach of these noisy little ninth graders, being a 12th grader and also being the appointed co-assistant editor, so why should I be taking that so personally. It really did not matter what Carol was saying in her Spanglish column. Carol was not that important. What of Spanglish? I really did not care so much about that, it was just her lashing out against me that was puzzling. And why should I condescend to edit her little musings of the moment, thus to entangle myself in a mess that would be of no benefit to me? They do not like me to criticize them in anyway, so why bother. I hereby wash my hands of these little Gonzo and/or Italian tricksters. See how much better I function without dumpy dog Kathy Sangio screeching in my ear?

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it might seem rude to tell some people to go get some other job, but sometimes reality just does not fit into your expected Hollywood movie script starring yourself. After years with your nose attached to the grindstone finally you have been given the opportunity to find new avenues for your talents and abilities, and all you do is complain complain complain. Everybody is tired of hearing you complain about not much while plenty of people are worse off than you are, just look around and see. So we don't want to hear about that.

Monday, February 8, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, how rude of you to accuse me of some violent act, which shows how you have been studying lessons from that vicious little provocateur from hell, now pathetically posing as a martyr. Ha ha ha! Do you remember that proverb saying "sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me"? Well, you know what, that was all a lie. That wasn't true. Words do hurt me, too. It is not only all about you. But I do admit that I was slow to see through that and I should have sooner put a stop to your manipulative games, but I had no help.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I congratulate myself on having the foresight NOT to major in sociology at college. Not that it would not have been an interesting topic for an hour or two, but what that would qualify you for, I would not particularly be interested in doing. Besides which, these sociology majors are such cowards, hiding behind their magazine racks pretending not to notice that nobody asked them.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember when I was in maybe 8th grade at the little school in San Salvador, we older kids congratulated ourselves by tilting our chairs back, leaning back in our chairs only slightly, which if you have another desk or shelf behind you, could be arranged not too dangerously. However, a younger girl in the classroom tried to imitate us, not having anything to stop her chair from clattering to the ground with herself in it and that was dangerous, she could have really hurt herself although in reality she was not so much hurt as shaken up, and so the teacher, Mrs. Richardson, berated us for setting a bad example for the younger children, and she had a good point there, so we had to stop doing that.

Friday, February 5, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, the thought of becoming a teacher or other respectable profession would not seem so bad if there were not all these hostile persons lurking about ready to pull the rug out from under me no matter what my college major might have been or what I might think of doing next. Why else would they be so curious to know what I am going to do next? Obviously I would just lose everything so why bother trying? Besides which, how can I concentrate on anything after ten years of being raked over the coals by some horrid little brats? I am beyond caring about that.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I seem to vaguely remember that someone has mentioned our high school classmate Libby as having defected to Puerto Rico. Not having talked to her during high school about anything worth mentioning, I cannot begin to imagine what is this private conversation she was having with Owen Smith, who was only there in 9th grade anyway, seemingly as an appendage of Lance, as he is only seen following behind him. It is too late now for me to join the 9th grade lunchtime songfests.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, we never wanted your filthy dirty Alice money anyway. You were trying to sell us a piece of filthy swamp land but you seem to have forgotten that nobody wants that.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I often congratulate myself for not being that stupid, meaning as stupid as those foul-mouthed Rowing bimbos. You cannot really be much of a leader when you are so Rowing stupid.

Thursday, February 4, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, it is true that these diplomatic people in foreign countries seem to live in a parallel universe that has almost no connection to me. We see their faces briefly and then they are gone forever, never to be seen again. We are not necessarily expecting to hear from these diplomatic people again, they disappear into the great beyond and fly away to the next country while we are busy working on our book reports for Miss Marken's English class.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, there are times when I have heard things I might rather not have heard but whatever. Some people have no thought of who they are talking to or what they are saying, they just open their mouths, jaws a-flapping, and unload their gripe of the  moment and a bunch of stuff that is not helpful, but what to do with that, who to pass it along to when I am not politically connected that way. When we were living in El Salvador it was Molina jokes, Molina being the elected president of the military government at the time. Their humor is somewhat cruder than ours, and they tell us these Molina jokes that are humorous merely for being outrageous, they could easily exchange the names of the politicians named in the jokes, even if actually we are trying to stay neutral and not get involved in the local politics because you just never know about these government matters, who is going to be up or down, in or out. We are not there to campaign for politicians, whoever they may be. We are there to speak about God and to help the churches and that sort of thing. We do not really want to know more about political campaigns.

Which Reminds Me

Yrs, I still remember the contempt in your voice when you were taunting me and saying that I was a Rodney Dangerfield type of person who "gets no respect." Such terms of endearment!

Wednesday, February 3, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I do think that I am aware that someone is going to kill me. Perhaps I should be more grateful for this opportunity of selfless martyrdom and it's rewards, eventually, because the cure would ne  worse than the disease so I should just for and blend imperceptibly into the wallpaper.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, easy for you government officials to say all of these hard things when you have are enjoying a position of authority and the power and respect included with that. I do not really know what did I disagree with. I try to avoid these types of conflicts whenever possible because I do not understand quite what you are talking about, besides which I am nobody important that I should be expected to say something about something.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, coincidentally, those CIA agents from Fascist Italy are fond of berating us for being too boastful even though I do not know, did I say something? Makes me wonder who they are talking to.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I must confess that some of my book reports in high school were suggested by our teacher Miss Marken, although I do not remember whether The Ugly American was one of those, but whatever. Who wants to be mistaken for one of those nasty Panama spitfires? The Aristarchus book on birds was definitely one of her suggestions, and she did have a unique sense of humor, certainly.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I confess that I really could not care less about your illegal immigration problem. I might not live long enough to see the result of the prevailing open door policy, so why should I care about that? As a U.S. citizen in good standing generally speaking, my U.S. passport entitles me to live here peacefully without being harassed by green card vendors and legal sharks. Lucky me! I do not have to prove my specialty skills to justify my residence in this country in terms of whether your immigration quotas have been met because anyway I was born here a U.S. citizen, a child of U.S. citizen parents and grandparents, so that would not be my useful motivation for improving my skills, although I may need to do that anyway for other reasons. And having read that book, "The Ugly American," I have about how some U.S. diplomats are making some points about the importance, diplomatically speaking, of not being too arrogant and boastful while traveling in other countries thus to help foster a positive view of the United States and not to unnecessarily aggravate the anti-Yankee tendencies sometimes found there.

Which Reminds Me

Yes, that was quite awkward for me being swallowed by a brain dead green snake. As I was saying, when will I get a chance to say, "Oh, I didn't know that!" No, the nuances of that seem to have been lost in the avalanche of green clutter and I do not even belong to either snake. I was only a sort of a computer glitch.

Tuesday, February 2, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, isn't that nice, it may have been their father or uncle or something who was my pediatrician during the eight years I lived in El Salvador and also they were in my high school class. Even so, the topic of my blood pressure is not worth mentioning. Why am I seeing them now in the United States? How did they get green cards? I just have no idea. I only know they did not get that from me. I never said anything nor was I asked.

I suppose that you were expecting the green snake to swallow the brown snake but anyway these things do not always work out in the predetermined way that you were expecting, not that I would know. Needless to say.

Monday, February 1, 2021

Which Reminds Me

Yes, I remember years ago there was a saying rarely used, but in many cases it does apply, although not meaning to be gratuitously mean, but that even if you were the last man on earth it would not matter, you just would not make the grade. I could elaborate but, yes, why sound gratuitously mean when that is what you do so well.
