Yes, you were reminding me that anciently the joke was that although Robert E. Lee was a very powerful man, yet he could not hope to get himself elected dog catcher in Massachusetts, that bastion of Union power. And yet more recently Massachusetts has elected for themselves one of those Mormon dog catchers, so perhaps you are saying that Massachusetts is not what it used to be. Yes, maybe so. And for that bit of supposedly humorous back door mothingness, Lee is expecting to get some sort of prize? Ridiculous.
