Which Reminds Me

Yes, he often talks about temples, rarely uses the word cathedral and even more rarely the word church. So does that make him Jewish? And yet he speaks of the Jews also in a rather detached way, only passing through and he is not averse to touring mosques and investigating other religions as well, ambiguous. So what is he?
