Yes, I do vaguely remember that my mother, more than once, in conversations with whoever that was, mentioned that the United States is the greatest country. Knowing my mother, this makes sense for her to say, but anyway, it seems odd that I never hear the end of this point reverberating all over the place. And why is no one worried about these wicked Italian fascists being so defensive about having lost World War II and why are they blustering about how they are planning to win the long game and reverse that eventually? How is that something that I need to chat about in the high school classroom? I don't see why that is a point of concern at this time.
