I once had occasion for some reason to be giving him a ride in my car to church in my car, and at that time he expressed to me his profound cynicism about all matters religious. He thinks that pastors are only that way for professional reasons, not because they care, or something along that line. So that was sort of Jim's cynical view of things. I really do not wish to discuss these complicated matters with such a superficial cynic as Jim. He does not seem to be very serious about anything. It is better to just ignore his idiotic stabs at humor.
