Yes, I vaguely remember hearing the story about the fabled experiment that was made with baby care, in which the caretakers were instructed to not speak to the babies, and so there was no talking and no lullabies, only silence, and the idea was to see what language the babies would speak natively, without being instructed, and the result was that the babies mostly died, lacking the necessary simulation. That is sort of how I heard the story, although I am not sure if I am remembering exactly the way it was told to us during high school.
