I vaguely remember during the one year that I was at Evangel College, Lisa Keating down the hall was often heard to sing that she was proud to be an Okie from Muskogee. Poor thing, she has no other choice than to be from Oklahoma City. I, on the other hand, have no contractual obligation to be an Okie from Oklahoma. My mother being from Texas, we tend to consider ourselves a cut above the Okie Roberts of Oklahoma. I really don't see the connection, but sometimes I don't see what else might be going on behind the scenes.
