Which Reminds Me

Yes, I vaguely remember going for dinner at Doug and Brenda's hosue and after dinner we sat around watching a move of their choice, and it was a movie about a poor family, two sisters and a mother, and the one sister is very ambitious and the other sister is playing hookey an not adjusting socially, so the good sister appeals to social services and turns in her mother an sister to the authorities, and ultimately the mother and other sister escape on a boxcar train to anywhere else. So that was not exactly the most inspiring move, quite depressing actually. Who wants to be herded onto a boxcar and told you cannot take care of yourself? So that was a depressing movie. Obviously.
