Yes, I lied. I described Terry as a friend of mine, which was not strictly true. Terry is better described as a whiny nuisance, but we don't always say what we really think about these annoying hangers-on. We just gloss over the really annoying parts of the story because it wouldn't be polite to say what we really think about that. Besides which, I wasn't talking to you. And how did this annoying spy come to read all the letters that I ever wrote to everyone? It just doesn't seem fair somehow for you to judge me by cheating that way.
