Yes, I vaguely remember when I was living in California, talking to Sharon Turner, and she was telling me or us about how she was really bothered because George the pastor had preached a sermon, she said, in which he talked about the times he was going through financial difficulties and did not tithe, and how sometimes that is true for everyone, which message was found very bothersome to Sharon, because shouldn't everyone tithe? There is a principle of the tithe that all pastors are duty-bound to uphold. And then later Sharon's conversation came back around in a very twisted configuration so that pretty much nobody can remember who Sharon Turner ever was or why we ever thought it was safe to talk to her, while George advanced to the post of president of the denomination. So these events do nothing to confirm Sharon Turner's version of the story. Needless to say.
