Yes, it is in a way unfortunate that our branch of the McClellans cannot actually be tracked to the old country. Our common ancestor appears in America in about 1750 without any documentation as to parents or how he got here, so whatever, obviously we cannot hope to place any legal claim on that ruined pile of rocks in Scotland known as McClellan's castle. Someday if I were ever a tourist there I might like to make the tour of that, but whatever, the prospect of travel in Europe is somewhat expensive and not in my immediate plans, don't know when I would ever get there.
