Yes, I am surprised that the nattering nabobs of New York have not understood that the Southern Baptist slave master theology really appeals to the upper classes there who are interested in hanging onto their power. All that stuff about "The South Will Rise Again," that appeals to them, they take that very seriously. That has some consequences in civil society, needless to say.
