Yes, it seems odd to think of New York vs. Pennsylvania, when both up-states seem pretty much the same from down here, nearly identical. To make a point about upstate New York vs. upstate Pennsylvania seems a rather pointless discussion about a huge and amorphous "up" state blob, which although of interest to those who live there, undoubtedly, to us viewing from afar there seems not much to say about that. Many millions of people doubtless live "up" there. Was there something to discuss or ask about? The mind goes blank at moments like these.
