Which Reminds Me

Yes, I should not need to explain that I never hand out money to these beggars. There are many drunks and winos wandering about the streets, who come to the front doors and windows begging for the mercy of God and a limosna. They are a wretched and pitiful sight to behold. However, the policy is  to never give them money. They would just spend it all on booze, thus to perpetuate their miserable condition. We are not amused. However, it is not a good idea to send them away hungry. We can at least give them a banana or some such piece of fruit. That would be the Christian thing to do.
