Which Reminds Me

I am not aware of anything that I would need to say about Korea, other than I thought that it was sort of deeply weird how Cori, whose parents had lived as missionaries in Japan, was parroting some of the Japanese prejudices against Koreans. I really don't care to get involved in such internal conflicts of a Japanese nature. Yes, we in the U.S. sometimes forget that these countries have deeply rooted prejudices against each other, it is not just all about us and what we think about them. Sometimes they have all these conflicts going on and are looking to draw us clueless Americans into their personal strategies to make points for their own internal benefit, whether or not that is good for us or not. We tend to think of all the countries of the world as equally in need of our message of peace and goodwill, but sometimes the reality is actually more complicated than that. Sometimes it is not so easy to communicate with them.
