Yes, I had completely forgotten about the existence of Heather from South Africa, who married one of the tobacco chewers and returned to her home country, where race relations were unimaginably horrible. Even so, I do not recall myself whether ever discussing that topic with her. Not meaning to sound callous and unconcerned, but fortunately for me, South Africa is not a place that I would ever have to go. I do not recall them ever offering me a job, that I would have some reason to go there.
