Which Reminds Me
No one in our family is Jewish that I ever heard of, but I did hear that our third cousins imagine themselves to be Jewish. I am not sure how they came to that conclusion because there certainly is no documentary evidence of that that we are aware of. But sometimes these stray people named Elizabeth or Beverly wander away from the Christian fold and marry Jewish men and, well, there is nothing that we can do about that. It certainly does blur this picture to have them out there throwing things at us but they chose their own paths and there is nothing that we can do to prevent them from following their chosen path to its logical and/or legal conclusion, even though, given our personal freedom, we would prefer not to choose that for our own personal lives. We as Christians believe that the name of Jesus is the only name under heaven by which we can be saved. But if you think all these documentary records are going to accomplish some useful purpose, well, that's a job that some trained professionals can be hired to do. I always find archeology to be a very interesting thing to read about in magazines but perhaps I am not so well qualified to accomplish some archaeologically forensic purpose. It would help to know what the question was.
