Which Reminds Me

It was not my job to recruit these people to go to the United States. My parents were missionaries so obviously our job was to help build up the local people so that they can take care of themselves there after we are gone. The mission was completed and they no longer need us for anything so in that sense we were very successful. It all goes back to how you measure success. There are those who think that when they are there, they must be collecting interesting specimens to be mailed back to the United States, but that was not really our plan. This idea of recruitment seems to focus mainly on rich people whose money goes with them to be spent in the United States. But that wasn't our idea of what we were supposed to be doing there. Yes, one would think that we should be able to explain the plan of salvation to everyone but some people lack ears to hear. Salvation is not really a matter of geography. It is a matter of ears to hear. So we can only do what we can do and the rest is up to God.
