Yes, upon researching further into the Colonel, we suddenly learn of the existence of his second wife, Mayme, some Dakota person who was apparently also a singer. I have no idea who these people are or why Julia thought it a good idea to get entangled with those dreary Wisconsin snobs. Now that the Colonel is gone we can easily ignore Wisconsin. After all, the Colonel was not our problem.
