Yes, someone was reminding me of the story of the primitive tribal witch doctor who challenged the missionary to a contest of powers. Was he ultimately converted to Christianity? Why else would such a story be told in a book that Mrs. Richardson or one of the teachers at the MK school was reading aloud to us during the post-lunch break? It happened somewhere in the South Pacific, maybe near what is now New Guinea, I don't remember exactly, but it certainly was a gripping story. Perhaps other students in the classroom would remember hearing that story. Of course, such a scenario would not be ideal or desirable, but if push comes to shove, there are many books that could be reviewed as applicable.
