Only recently do I learn of the existence of Larry and the Beltramos, our distant cousins who live in the Bay Area. Oh, ok, so we learn from the genealogical charts that we have a Dorothy who was Uncle Sam's daughter. Until I did my genealogy, recently, I just thought Uncle Sam was a cartoon figure denoting patriotic ideals. Larry who?
Why are all of these Bay Area people screaming at us as if they were angry about something? Why are these Bay Area people all worked up into such a froth about some irrelevant trivia, some events of 70 years ago? Most of us who are not from the Bay Area are not aware of the existence of Uncle Sam and don't know why we should care about that.
Ok, so you want to talk about making our great-grandfather an Apostle of China, not in a newfangled sense of the word, but in the sense of the real genuine Apostleship. Now there's a nice thought. However, we don't see at first glance a need to cannonize. We were Protestants of a sort, not really Roman Catholics, so it would be hard for us to get any number of heads together to agree on something.
