John's Books
I would be lying if I said that I had ever read any book by John Garnier or was even aware of the existence of such books or even of John Garnier himself. Here in America there is not much trace to be found of the 19th century British author whose wrote books with such titles as: "The Great Pyramid" and "Isreal in Britain," which expounds on the idea of Britain as the lost Ten Tribes of Israel. He also seems to be the author of "The Future of Britain" and "Romanism and Spiritualism: Their Identity with Paganism" and "The Worship of the Dead." Somewhere online it says that Garnier predicted the Lord would return in 1920 so that probably explains why his writings are no longer much in circulation. No one knows the day or the hour of Christ's return so obviously we can't take his writings all that seriously. Just scanning the Table of Contents we see that Garnier has predicted doom and gloom for Britain in particular: "Britain to be Crushed by Other Powers" and "Invasion and Conquest of Britain Intended by Germany." He also says that Catholics will "Crush" Protestants. Weren't the darkly occult Axis powers of Germany and Italy cast aside by Allied Forces? End of story. The last thing we white Protestants of America would need would be an invasion of Axis-wielding Catholics imagining they have a license to kill us. The World War is long since over and I don't really see where Catholics deserve any special recognition for being indistinguishable from pagans in spirit and behavior. "The Day of the Dead" is a Mexican holiday that is not observed by us. If they are not going to live and let live, then perhaps the United States is not a fitting place of habitation for them. Perhaps this explains a Protestant rationale for why a stricter regulation of immigration and border crossings might be a good idea.
